so it's not even ten-thirty in the morning on a sunday and i'm awake. it couldn't possibly be from the multiple naps i took yesterday, could it?

so i'm still in bed, with the computer on my lap. dave's asleep right next to me. it's still awfully dark in here so i'm assuming it's cloudy outside.....but i haven't actually gotten up to check. ahhhhhhhh laziness

so......i go back to the doctor in a few weeks...i think this one's for another pelvic and pap. and to ask questions and all that shizzy. the first appointment went well other than it taking three separate people to get a vein in either of my arms. i wish i could have brought jessie with me, cos she's so good at getting the vein on the first try, heheh.......i could bring her with me the next time they need blood and just say, "this is my official blood-taker! stand back!! all of you!!!"

meh.

yesterday dave and i went with my mum and my youngest brother and saw "the village". we were all pretty hyped up by the previews and i must admit the actual movie = kind of a letdown. i won't say why cos it'll ruin it (like anyone reads this anymore anyway), but yeah...my brother was pissed and dave and i were sorta confused. a lot of loose ends in that movie. i'd still suggest seeing it, but not for the reasons the previews made it look like. haha....ah well.

what else?

oh, we've been looking for houses. since our lease is up at the end of august. we looked at a place yesterday that was sort of small, but really cute. so far we've been trying to stick within a certain price range, which is gonna have to be upped a bit because most of the houses in said price range have been in not-so-pleasant neighborhoods. cos you know...it all boils down to the fact that i spend a lot of time by myself at nite. and uhhhh......yeah, don't feel like being in a neighborhood where gunshots are a normal thing. especially the further along i get. sooooo.........we decided we could afford to up the rent a little higher...

why are there so many duplexes for rent??

BECAUSE NO ONE WANTS TO LIVE IN A FUCKING DUPLEX, THAT'S WHY!!!!

*sigh*...

we lived in a duplex when i was in second grade....it was tiny. my brothers and i all had to share a bedroom. it was when my mum was trying to work and go to school and also raise three kids all under age eight at the same time, so it was sort of all we could afford. the guy that lived in the other side of the house had supposedly been in some car wreck and was permanently disabled and had to walk with these crutches....he'd hobble around the neighborhood on his crutches. he'd also follow us as we walked to school. and he locked my mum out of the house (there was one main door and then our two doors) after she'd been playing with my brother in the yard and it had started raining. oh and he'd also turn his music up really loud at nite and the commence literally beating our front door with his crutches. he left big holes in one side of the door.....that he would tape paper sacks over whenever his mother came to visit him (which was about once a week). he'd leave his front door wide open while he was in the shower......and leave us notes on his door SAYING he was in the shower and not to come in.......even though his front door was wide open. like we were really gonna go in there anyway... i remember one nite when he turned the music up loud and started hitting the door with his crutches my dad called the cops and then stood outside in the hallway in front of the guy's door with a baseball bat....screaming for him to come out....hahahaha.....dad called the cops twice that nite and the dude never answered his door, not even for the cops... oh and let's not forget the time crutch-man somehow dragged a chair out onto the front porch and set it on fire. right next to our trash bags. and then he poured flour on it....so it just smoldered. my mum couldn't get it to stop burning...she kept coming outside with a chili pot full of water and dumping it on the chair, but it kept burning. we came home from school to find a burning chair on our porch. my aunt called the fire department that day.

so based on this experience i would really much rather not live in another duplex....heh.

dave's still sleeping.

he's pretty when he's sleeping.

i now have three pairs of pants that don't fit....did i mention that before? i think i did. and now there are at least two more pairs that are just about done. i'm gonna have to either buy some bigger jeans or start instituting the rubber-band-around-the-button trick.
